The Horizon Europe-funded project ELEGANCE continues to solidify its position at the forefront of advanced electronics, having just received its second official recognition from the European Commission’s Innovation Radar.
Following the previous selection of its fully printed 2D-material devices, the Innovation Radar has once again recognized the project as a "Key Innovator" for another groundbreaking technological development within the project.
The newly featured innovation introduces a cutting-edge approach to hardware-level intelligence:
"New tandem structure of an electrochromic pixel integrated on top of an optoelectronic memristor for light-triggered Processing-in-Memory computing and visual sensing."
This breakthrough merges electrochromic technology with optoelectronic memristors, paving the way for advanced, light-triggered Processing-in-Memory (PIM) computing and smarter visual sensing capabilities.
