Scientific Merit Medal 2024 for Professor Elvira Fortunato

Professor Elvira Fortunato, deputy coordinator of i3N, was awarded the 2024 Scientific Merit Medal by the President of the Foundation for Science and Technology, Madalena Alves, during Encontro Ciência 2024, which took place between July 3 and 5 in Porto.

The Medal of Scientific Merit is intended to reward national or foreign individuals who, for their high professional qualities and fulfillment of duty, have made a valuable contribution to the development of science or scientific culture in Portugal.

The award was received by Professor José Fernando Mendes, vice-coordinator of i3N, who was present at the meeting.
