A study led by researchers from i3N Aveiro has demonstrated the potential of CIGS-based solar cells for space applications. The work, which involved simulating the effects of radiation on the performance of these cells and studying recovery methodologies, confirms their viability for use in satellites and other equipment in orbit.

On March 5, at 15h00, the CENIMATi3N amphitheater will host the seminar "The Power of GenAI for Research and Education", presented by Prof. Manuela Aparício, Associate Dean at NOVA IMS.

NOVA FCT will have scholarships for master's degrees in the next academic year, for students with a final bachelor's degree average of 15 or more.
Application Period: 1st – 30th September 2025
Eligibility: Students must apply after enrolling in a master's programme at NOVA FCT.
Results: The list of selected candidates will be published on the faculty's website by 15th October.
Master’s programmes in the Department of Materials Science (DCM) are eligible.
