CENIMAT|i3N had the privilege of hosting a delegation from some of France's most prestigious universities and research institutions, in a visit organized by the Institut Français of Portugal.

We’re thrilled to announce our upcoming MEON Seminar titled: "Exploring Graphene, Thin Films, and Plasma Process: Research and Applications at UFTM". This session will feature Professor Rogério Gelamo, Professor (Associated - Institute of Technological and Exact Sciences) at the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro (UFTM - Brazil).

👏 We are delighted to announce that Professor Hugo Aguas and Professor João Pedro Veiga, both researchers at CENIMAT|i3N, have officially taken on leadership roles at NOVA FCT.
Professor Hugo Águas is now the Chair of the Materials Science Department and Professor João Pedro Veiga assumes the role of Chair of the Department of Conservation and Restoration.

🎬 Highlighting the Next Generation of Scientists: 10th Graders Visit CENIMAT|i3N!

We’re excited to share a recap of an inspiring afternoon with a group of curious 10th graders exploring the cutting-edge research at CENIMAT|i3N.

Pedro Barquinha, researcher at CENIMAT|i3N and Professor at NOVA FCT, has been appointed to the National Council for Science, Technology and Innovation (CNCTI), a government advisory body on science, technology and innovation topics.
Luís Montenegro, the Portuguese Prime Minister, presented the nomination on November 5th.

Professor Elvira Fortunato is on this year's list of the Most Powerful Women in Business, a ranking drawn up by Forbes Portugal magazine.
